Have documents you need disposed of securely?

Identity theft is one of the fastest growing crimes and can have a lasting detrimental effect on someone's personal and financial life.

As a way to safeguard residents, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office and ABC Action News are teaming up with ProShred, Westfield Citrus Park mall and Allstate Insurance to provide free document shredding for residents, according to a media release issued by the sheriff's office.

The event takes place from 7 a.m. to  p.m. on Saturday June 29 at Westfield Citrus Park mall, 8021 Citrus Park Drive in Tampa.

This annual event is free and open to the public. There is a 5-box limit on documents to be shredded.

ProShred trucks will be located in the two parking lots located off Citrus Park Drive on each side of the mall's main entrance. Motorist are asked to enter from the east or west entrance of the mall and not the main entrance.

For more information about this event, contact the mall at 813-926-4644.
