Take That Michael Kors Inside With You

This holiday season, thieves are targeting purses left in cars.

This information was provided by Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office:

On November 19 at 6:45 p.m., surveillance cameras at Shapes Fitness
Center located at 731 Lumsden Road in Brandon captured images of two suspects exiting a white newer model Mercedes GL450 and looking into parked cars with flash lights.

The suspects continued checking the parked cars until they found 3 vehicles
with purses and other personal items sitting out in plain view. The suspects
smashed the car windows took the item and fled the parking lot.

Later on, one of the suspects contacted one if the victim's bank to acquire
account balances. This is typical method of operation previously seen by the
criminal group known as the "Felony Lane Gang."

Shoppers or anyone parking cars should "LOCK" your car doors and roll up your windows. Place all packages in your trunk so they are not visible to individuals walking close to your vehicle. Don't leave cell phones, purses or other items in your parked car where they can be seen. Remember where you parked your vehicle and have your car keys in hand when approaching your vehicle.
