The 19-year-old is accused of stealing fishing equipment valued at $300.

A teen who worked at The Village Market in Westchase was arrested twice in one week for breaking into cars, according to a Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office report.

Dylan Bailey, 19, was arrested on April 27 after he was found in an unlocked car parked at 9608 West Park Village Drive. The car's owner discovered Bailey inside and called the police.

Bailey was released the same day on $2,000 bail. Three days later, Bailey was arrested again - this time for stealing fishing equipment from a car.

In the second case, Bailey is accused of stealing fishing equipment valued at $300 from a car parked on Magnolia Blossom Drive in the West Park Village neighborhood.

The owner of the equipment spotted someone using it at a pond in Westchase and called the sheriff's office. The person using the equipment said Bailey was a family member and had given it to them as a gift, said Debbie Carter, Hillsborough County Sheriff's spokeswoman.

"The family member didn't know it was stolen," Carter said.

Bailey was arrested again on April 30 and charged with grand theft. He was released from jail the next day on $2,000 bond.
