Woman Sought in Regions Bank Robbery

Deputies say the woman is wanted in connection with a Dec. 8 robbery at the Regions Bank on Waters Avenue.

Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies are asking for help to identify a bank robbery suspect.

Deputies say the Regions Bank, 6297 W. Waters Ave., was struck by a robber Dec. 8 around 10:24 a.m. At that time, a woman walked into the bank, approached a teller and passed a note that demanded cash. The teller gave the woman an undisclosed amount of money. The woman then fled the bank on foot.

The suspect is described as being between the age of 30 and 40. She is about 5 feet, 1 inch tall and weighs about 100 to 120 pounds. She had on sunglasses, a khaki green hat, a grey hoodie, blue jeans and white tennis shoes. Her dirty blond hair was pulled back in a ponytail.
