Carrollwood Educators Turn Out For Obama Rally

Even though she's no longer in the education field, Missy Keller remains tuned in to the needs of teachers and students.

Keller is the organizing specialist for the Hillsborough Classroom Teachers Association.

Keller is also a supporter of President Barack Obama. She was joined by numerous association members at Thursday's rally in Ybor City's Centennial Park.

"It's not just pay, it's the working conditions and promoting student achievement and whatever we can do to support them."

Keller said Obama’s policies promote those goals.

“Obama supports teachers, promotes higher standards for teachers/students and funding for public education,” she said. “Romney is looking to decimate the unions.”
