Does Hilsborough County Need New Garbage Collection?
Is it time for new garbage service?
The Hillsborough Board of County Commissioners will review a bid for a new residential trash collection company on Thursday, Sept. 13.
The county's current contract with private companies expires on Sept. 30, 2013.
The workshop is scheduled at 1:30 p.m. in the County Commission boardroom, 2nd floor of County Center, 601 E. Kennedy Blvd. in downtown Tampa.

The public comment is not scheduled to be taken because the meeting is in a workshop format and is not a public hearing. Public input will be sought on various service options and pricing after the bids are opened and before new contracts are awarded.
