‘Impeach Obama’: Do You Support the Movement?

Some people are very unhappy about President Barack Obama's handling of recent scandals and would like to see him removed from office. What do you think?

From right here in Florida to Carlsbad, CA, to points in between, the wagons are circling and the “Impeach Obama” movement seems to be gaining steam.

With scandals such as Benghazi, the AP phone tap and the IRS targeting of Tea Party groups hanging over his head, people are calling for the President’s formal impeachment. Issues such as amnesty and health care have also made Obama rather unpopular with some.

“It is one of those times in our history, we are at this breaking point,” the Huffington Post quoted U.S. Rep. Trey Radel, R-Florida, as saying. “We have completely lost our checks and balances in this country, the Congress needs to hold the president accountable for the decisions that he’s making right now, and that's why again, I would say that all options should be on the table.”

Supporters of the “Impeach Obama” movement held a rally on California’s Interstate 5 over not too long ago that backed up traffic near Camp Pendleton.

The movement has its own website and there are even several Facebook pages dedicated to the cause. One page is just shy of 76,000 fans.

If the impeachment movement were successful, the House of Representatives would have to formally charge Obama. He would then have to be convicted of the charge in a Senate impeachment trial, according to the Senate’s website.

While several presidents have been brought up on charges in the past — including Bill Clinton — the process has never been carried through to completion.
