Noise Level of Movies in the Park Addressed at Meeting

The Westchase Community Development District addressed noise levels and other issues at Tuesday's meeting.

Over 250 people show up for the popular Movies in the Park series at Baybridge Park. But for some, the noise created by the movies has been too loud. That was just one of the issues addressed at the Westchase Community Development District meeting earlier this week.

The group met on Tuesday, Feb, 5. Accodring to a posting on westchasewow.com, items addressed included a proposed volleyball court, a kickball league and noise complaints about the movies in the park.

The report also says that a Hillsborough County Environmental Protection Commission noise test during one of the movies showed some infrequent and minor violations of EPC noise standards. Some residents who live near the park where the movies are shown have complained about the noise and those in charge of the movies say they have purchased equipment to monitor noise levels in the future, the report said.
