It’s official: Westchase is getting
Hillsborough County Commissioners voted unanimously Aug. 13 to approve a rezoning request that opens the door for M/I Homes to build a 220-townhome development off Sheldon Road, according to Commission Chairman Ken Hagan.
While the proposal had raised some concerns from Westchase residents, mainly related to traffic and environmental impacts, county staff recommended commissioners grant the request.
The new townhomes will be built on 85 acres of land near the Bridges that is owned by Thomas Holdings LLC. The gated community will include two-story units that will be priced in the mid-$200,000 range.
