Veteran's Day: What's Closed and Open?
Veteran's Day is Friday, Nov. 11. Here's a rundown of what's closed and open.
Most offices in Hillsborough County will be closed on Veterans Day, which is on Friday, Nov. 11.
Facilities that will be closed include the administrative offices of county government, neighborhood service centers, libraries, senior centers and nutrition sites.
Here are some specifics:

- Parks and solid waste will be open and operate as normal.
- Animal Services will be closed, but call 813-744-5660 for emergencies.
- Fire Rescue Administration and Fire Marshall Office's are closed.
- The Hillsborough County InfoLine, 813-272-5900, will be closed.
- Libraries will be closed, including the Jimmie Keel Regional Library.
- Parks, Recreation and Conservation will be closed, but regional parks will be open, including Lettuce Lake Park and the Upper Tampa Bay Trail.
- The Sunshine Line will not be in operation.
- The Public Utilities Department customer call centers in Northdale and Brandon are closed, but call 813-744-5600 in case of emergency.
- Finally, the offices of the property appraiser, tax collector and Supervisor of Elections will be closed on Nov. 11. So will the courts and the Clerk of the Circuit Court.
