Veterans Expressway Heads Up: Waters Off-Ramp Closes Soon
Motorists traveling north won't be able to get off the expressway at that location for a few days.
Westchase drivers who use the Veterans Expressway to get around town need to take note of a change that could impact their commutes later this week.
The northbound off-ramp at Waters Avenue is closing down Friday, July 19 at 9 p.m. and it won’t reopen until Monday, July 22 at 6 a.m., according to Florida’s Turnpike.
The closing is meant to accommodate construction of a new toll gantry and is part of the ongoing $386 million expressway widening project.

Do you normally get off the expressway at Waters Avenue?
If so, expressway officials recommend you use Hillsborough or Linebaugh avenues instead.

Just a heads up, the southbound on-ramps at Waters will also close down later in the month.
