Vote Today: The What and Where of Primary Elections in Westchase

Read this before you head to the polls today.

Today, Tuesday, Aug. 14, is primary day in Florida.

That means Hillsborough County voters may cast their ballots for the candidates in their own parties they want to move onto the final election in November.

Candidates running for U.S. House of Representatives, the Florida House, County and Circuit Judge, and such local races as county commission and school board are all on the ballot.

The choices made Tuesday will narrow the field for the Nov. 6 general election.

  • Go to this website to download a sample ballot so you're prepared.
  • The polls in Hillsborough are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Voters should bring a photo and signature ID to the polls. Acceptable ID includes a Florida driver’s license, debit or credit card, military identification, passport, student ID and other similar options.
