First Friday, Food Drive; Westchase Weekend Preview: Nov. 4-6

A look at the what's happening in the neighborhood this weekend.

Friday, Nov. 4

  • First Fridays World of Beer - It's that time again, when half of the Westchase Town Center open their doors for drink specials and live music. Participating businesses include: World of Beer, __ and __. Live music will be provided by _Robbie Hazen_, cocktails, beer, food on the plaza, bouncy house for the kids, Kona Ice, Fantasy Kids Art Photography, cornhole, face painting, and more. 5pm-9pm. __, 9524 West Linebaugh Avenue in Tampa.

Saturday, Nov. 5

  • Wine and Food Pairings - Join the Publix team or this delicious sampling event. Taste a variety of reds, whites and blush wines from round the world and learn how to pair them correctly. 11am-3pm at , 12139 West Linebaugh Avenue in Tampa. For more information call: 813-814-0737
  • Art Reception for Peter Stilton - Join the fun as the library celebrates a new exhibit by artist _Peter Stilton_, a contemporary painter. Refreshments will be served and is open to the public. His exhibit will run from November-December 2011. 2pm-4pm. Upper Tampa Bay Library, 11211 Countryway Blvd. in Tampa, FL 33626.

Sunday, Nov. 6

  • Thanksgiving Food Drive - Starting at 1pm volunteers will scour the neighborhood collecting donations for this annual food drive. Non-perishables and frozen turkeys are requested. Residents in West Park Village should leave their donations by their mailbox. Elsewhere in the neighborhood residents can leave donations at the bottom of the driveway. If you are donating a frozen turkey, you are advised to place it out as close to the 1 p.m. pick-up as possible to help keep it frozen.
