Citrus Park Mall Gives $2,500 Gift To School

Shoppers voted for the school during the mall's Back to School Program Contest.

Westfield's Citrus Park Mall will donate $2,500 to the Incarnation Catholic School from donations raised through its Give Back to School Program.

The national program implemented at 23 shopping centers across the country is used to support school programs like arts and music, sciences, physical education, libraries and technology resources.

Westfield will donate $57,500 to local schools across the U.S. this year.

Incarnation was chosen by Citrus Park shoppers who had to vote in the mall and online to choose the winner. Votes were cast by shoppers who presented their shopping receipts from Westfield retailers to the Westfield Concierge desk, with each dollar spent counting as 1 point. Additional points were earned by “liking” Westfield Citrus Park on Facebook.

To celebrate, Westfield Citrus Park will present Incarnation Catholic School with a check at an upcoming assembly.

During the “Give Back to School” Program, shoppers also showed their generosity by donating school supplies and backpacks to underprivileged students at local area schools.

“We consider ourselves an integral part of our local communities, just like the families that shop with us, and are thrilled to be able to do our part to give back," said Kirk Thompson, Westfield Vice President of Marketing.
