Davidsen Middle Flag Football Champs

Westchase school flag football team clocks in record year.

Davidsen Middle School has something to be extra proud of these days.

The school's flag football team made it to the Hillsborough County Playoffs  undefeated in the regular season, and won their district competition which enabled them a slot in the playoffs.

"They did a fantastic job," wrote Ronda Woble, a team mom.

The team, which consist of xyz, loss 21-18 in the county championship game which took place last month. This left them runners-up for the first slot out of 47 teams in the county.

The Davidsen team set records this season as well, with four players on the team breaking a school record for most wins ever. And, the quarterback, Woble's son, Peyton, breaking the record for the most touchdown passes in school history.

"This was an amazing team with great coaching and team chemistry," Woble said.

Davidsen teachers Tom Pusateri and Shane Heath coached the winning team.
