Deer Park Elementary Student Council Raises Money for Worthy Cause
The group raised over $200 to help the popular riding center.
For more than a two decades the Bakas Equestrian Center has offered horseback riding to children with special needs. The riding center is operated by Hillsborough County Parks and Recreation Department. Last month the Special Olympics equestrian events were held at the center, located at 11510 Whisper Lake Trail. More than 30 riders from Hillsborough, Pasco and Hernando counties participated.
Student Council held a bake sale which raised more than $200 for the equestrian center.
