Journey of Hope Family Day

LifePath Hospice, a community-based, non-profit organization, will hold the Journey of Hope Family Day on Saturday, November 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at its south Tampa office, 3010 West Azeele Street.

Journey of Hope is a day of healing and support for area families grieving the death of a loved one. LifePath Hospice professional grief support staff will facilitate the program.

“When a loved one dies, a crack is created in the foundation of the family,” said Tammy Alsing, LifePath Hospice bereavement manager. “Each individual can grieve differently, yet the family unit still needs to find a way to put the pieces back together. The Journey of Hope can give families the skills to approach their grief and heal.”

The retreat is open to all Hillsborough County families grieving the loss of a loved one. Participants need not have used LifePath Hospice programs in the past. In honor of Veterans Day weekend, military veterans and families of veterans will be given priority attendance at this event.
