LifePath Hospice Forming Free Book Discussion Group

LifePath Hospice, a part of the Chapters Health System, is
forming a book discussion group for readers who have experienced a significant loss and want to explore grief as a theme in fiction. The five-week group will meet at 2:30 p.m. starting Monday, July 9 at the LifePath Hospice Resource Center, 3010 W. Azeele St. in South Tampa.

The first book selection for discussion is “The Art of Racing in the Rain,” by Garth Stein, which explores loss, love, loyalty and hope in a humorous and uplifting manor.

The overall purpose of the group is to connect people who have experienced the loss of a loved and provide them an informal setting to discuss grief as it is portrayed in fiction. The group will be guided mainly by a series of book-driven discussion questions presented at each session. Book discussion will be the main focus, with personal grief experiences a secondary focus.
