Healthy Heart Fundraiser at Bryant Elementary Tonight

The event will feature groups from the medical profession providing parents and kids with health and wellness information.

Bryant Elementary's Healthy Heart Night this evening is the culmination of the school's Jump Rope for Heart fundraiser. 

The purpose of the event, which runs from 6 p.m.-7 p.m., is to provide parents and kids with health and wellness information. 

Various groups from the medical community will be represented such as a  pediatrician, a cardiac surgeon and a pharmacist from Walgreens. Representatives from the healthy lifestyle groups such as Curves, Martial Smarts and the YMCA will also be on hand. Curves will offer a free Zumba class and Martial Smarts will have a self defense demo and lesson.

Representatives from Jump Rope for Heart and the Juvenile Diabetes group will also be available. Baycare will offer kids tips for bicycle and water safety.

There will be an area where kids and adults can jump rope and enjoy other activities together. There will also be raffles as well as free giveaways, including food and drink samples.
