The group came up with the idea to have the team sponsor their "Free Stuff Friday" event. Once a month students are treated to free stuff during their lunch period.

Davis, Coach Tree Rollins, several team executives, and cheerleaders will be at lunch to hand out free ice pops to all the school's students. Parents are welcomed to join their children for lunch on this special day at the school.

The Tampa Bay Rain is member of the American Basketball Association. The league existed from the 1967-1976 featuring players like Julius Irving and Moses Malone. The league ceased to exist, but made a comeback in 2000. It recently expanded to include The Tampa Bay Rain, including more than 50 new teams.

The Rain's first game will be October 4 at the Tampa Fairgrounds.
