Sickles Musicians Headed to Carnegie Hall

The school band's wind ensemble will play at the famous venue. They are raising money for the trip.

The Sickles High School band's wind ensemble will perform at Carnegie Hall on April 15, according to this Tampa Tribune story.

Hosted by WorldStrides Heritage Performance, Sickles is one of 18 groups to play at the New York City hall. The Heritage organization gives students a chance to perform at famous musical halls.

The ensemble will host fundraisers in the coming days to pay for their trip to New York City. The trip will cost $1,350 per student, according to the Tribune.

The next Sickles band fundraiser will be at the Citrus Park's Outback restaurant (11950 Sheldon Road in Tampa) on March 19. Students are selling tickets for an all-you-can-eat meal for $15 per person. For more information, call Sickles High School at (813) 631-4742 and ask for Joshua Blair.
