Congratulations to Our Patch Athlete of the Week

Marc Perez is a senior on Sickles baseball team. He is stepping into the #1 spot in the rotation and will have to try to replace last year's top pitcher.

The pitching staff at Sickles was ransacked last year. Both #1 and #2 pitchers Tripp Merrill and Will Kirby graduated. Anticipated starter Zach Miller moved to West Virginia in the off-season. That means Marc Perez will have to adjust on the fly.

“Marc has taken the #1 role on our pitching staff and we as coaches are very proud of him and the way he has performed so far,” Head Coach Bob Pagano said.

Marc has welcomed the challenge. Westchase Patch sat down with Marc this week.
