Youth Triathlon Events Provide Chance to Get Active

Local YMCAs doing their part to keep kids in shape.

Does your kid love being active? Or are you looking for a way to get them more active? Check out the Tampa YMCA's Youth Triathlon Series, a new program which encourages children and their families to exercise.

And with childhood obesity rates more than triple what they were 30 years ago, now couldn't be a better time.

“We’re here to address the needs of our community and, clearly, there’s a need within the community to provide affordable, healthy activities for kids and families,” said Rebecca Bray, Communications Director for the Tampa YMCA. “Our goal is to provide a place where anyone can come to get healthier, and feel more connected and confident."
