Citrus Park Little League Wins State Championship; Fundraiser Held Tonight

A fundraiser for the team is being held tonight

This just in from Patch reader Tina Speciale:

Citrus Park Little League's 10-11 year old girls softball team won the Florida State Championship.

After a four hour rain delay last night in DeBary, they went on to defeat Windemere LL 4-3 behind an outstanding pitching performance by Hailee DeCicco. It was a close game, tied 3-3 going into the bottom of the seventh inning.

In an effort to help the team with the traveling expenses, we are asking that you stop by Beef O'Brady's on S. Mobley Road tonight (Tuesday, July 24) from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. to congratulate the girls, wish them luck and drop off a donation to help them with their trip.

If you can't attend, but want to make a donation, send an email to the team at citrusparkll@live.com.
