This Courtside Grill is one of two in the Tampa Bay area; the other is in St. Petersburg. Courtside Grill is an upscale sports bar; tables and booths are set around a large, U-shaped bar and there are dozens of big screen TVs so you can catch every game. The food is a little more sophisticated than your average sports venue. Appetizers include the standard wings and nachos, but also a fish spread and jumbo mushrooms stuffed with jalapeno cream cheese and spices, baked or fried. Salads include two chopped options and an Iceberg Wedge. For entrees there is an array of sandwiches and burgers, plus steaks and fish. The owners include former NBA star and Tampa Bay native Matt Geiger. The Westchase location has an outdoor basketball court and a game room for kids.

We had an awesome first-time experience here last month. We are NFL fans from an out-of-town team. We arrived in a big group of 12 for our team's 4:25pm game on a busy Sunday afternoon. The hostesses and manager were amazing. They walked us around to show us all the open tables with TV options. They explained that they would guarantee we could watch our game. They said if the 1pm crowd left, we could move tables at any time. They were so accommodating and helpful to make sure our every need was answered. We had 4 kids with us, they were very well taken care of with full size Christmas-themed coloring books, full boxes of crayons, bottomless juice/milk/water cups. The food was standard pub grub and we just got a steady stream of appetizers, all of which were very good. The draft beer is literally the coldest beer I think I have ever had in a bar, and that is saying a lot (I've had a lot of beer in a lot of places).

We will definitely be going back once baseball season starts so we can hopefully catch our team on TV every once in a while. If you love sports, good food, and good customer service, this place does it right!
