Westchase Elementary School lost a special teacher in January. The educator was honored for her creative lessons.
As 2012 comes to a close, Westchase Patch is taking a look back at the year that was. For the next several days we'll be featuring a story that ran in 2012 and resonated with our readers. First up is a story about a beloved teacher who suddenly passed away. Susan Mikolajczyk, the 2006 Hillsborough County teacher of the year, died unexpectedly in December 2011. Her death highlighted how much her life had meant to so many. Known as "Ms. Mik" her legacy was honored during a ceremony at Sickles High School.
