Area Roads Generally Flowing Well

The usual hot spots are hot.

Commuting conditions continue to be pretty clear across the Hillsborough area although weather forecasts call for thunderstorms for most of Tuesday afternoon and early evening.    Traffic today is moving slowly on NB I-275 from before I-4 to Bearss Avenue. On SB I-275 congestion starts at the I-4 junction and continues to Dale Mabry Highway. Both lanes of Dale Mabry below Kennedy Boulevard are at the usual gridlock. Traffic is starting to slow in WB I-4 from 50th Street to 275. Weather conditions are supposed to cloud up over night with storms moving into the area around noon and continuing through the evening commute, according to the Weather Channel. Clear skies return Wednesday.

As Weather Clears, Traffic Is Smooth

Other than normal backups, area roads are flowing smoothly.

Road conditions for the commute home are generally good as a stormy Tuesday gives way to at least two days of clear skies. There are the usual slowdowns on northbound I-275 from downtown to Dale Mabry Highway and slower traffic southbound heading onto the Howard Franklin Bridge. The weather should remain cloudy but dry for the remainder of the day. Information from this report was used from The Florida Department of Transportation’s 511 Traveler Information System.
