Farnell Middle Student Arrested: What People Are Saying...

A 13-year-old was arrested at Farnell Middle School on Tuesday after making threats to the school. Here's what Patch readers had to say.

Earlier this week a 13-year-old Farnell Middle School student was arrested after deputies say he fueled rumors of violence on the Westchase school campus located at 13912 Nine Eagles Drive. The incident began when the teen, whose name has not been released, reported graffiti on his driveway. The graffiti, written in dark magic marker, said: "From Con to FL Farnell UR Next!!" When deputies responded to the home, the boy told them he had no idea who could have written the threat on his driveway, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. Farnell Student Arrested for Faking Threat Against School

Hillsborough deputies say the 13-year-old filed a false police report.

A 13-year-old Farnell Middle School student was arrested this morning after deputies say he fueled rumors of violence on the Westchase campus. The official charge was filing a false police report, a Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office media release said. The incident began yesterday when the teen, whose name is not being released, reported graffiti on his driveway. Michelle Mayfield, Farnell's PTA President, has a decade of experience and is still going strong.

  As the new school year approaches, we caught up with some of the Westchase area's busiest PTA parents. Here's what Michelle Mayfield, incoming PTA President at Farnell Middle School, had to say: Patch: How did you get involved with the PTA? Mayfield: I got involved in the PTA with my good friend Julie Escobar 10 years ago at Mary Bryant Elementary with helping in Memberships and Box Tops.
