Odessa Organic Farmer’s Market is playing host to its monthly food truck rally from 5 to 9 p.m. The event takes place on the farmer’s market’s grounds at 8701 Gunn Highway. Citrus Park's first food truck rally will go to purchasing school supplies for underprivileged families.
Food truck rallies have been popping up all over Hillsborough County and now one is coming to Citrus Park. On Saturday, August 4, Broadstone Citrus Village Apartments will host "Citrus Park's First Food Truck Rally." The event, organized by Tasting Tampa, will feature several food truck options, music and vendors. "I love food trucks and I love supporting local," said Kristen Miller, a sales associate for Broadstone Citrus Village Apartments. "And they haven't really come to this side of town often." Broadstone Citrus Village recently opened off Gunn Highway at Citrus Garden Drive. Apartment staff hope the food truck rally will bring attention to the new community. If you love food trucks, you'll have a chance to enjoy them on two occasions right in the neighborhood next month. The Westchase Dads Club and Westchase Community Association will welcome a variety of food trucks to the neighborhood on June 2 and June 8, respectively. The Dads Club Mini Golf Challenge and Food Truck Rally will take place at Westchase Elementary School beginning at 10 a.m. on June 2. The event will feature mini-golf challenges and costs $10 to enter for the games. Food trucks cost are seperate.
