Buy Frozen Yogurt Tomorrow And Help A Youngster Battling Cancer

Community rallies behind hospitalized Davidsen student, Keilly Pulgar.

On Thursday, eating frozen yogurt could help someone in need. That's because 20 percent of sales generated on March 10 at Tanya & Matt's Froyo in Westchase will be donated to the family of Keilly Pulgar, an eighth grader at Davidsen Middle School. The 13 year old was recently diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and hospitalized. Each year Davidsen raises money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, said Shanta Talamatez, a teacher at the school and acquaintance of Keilly and her family. In an unfortunate coincident Keilly’s diagnosis occurred two weeks into this year’s fundraising session. “We decided to take this one on personally,” Talamantez said.
