OMG PD: Prisoner Caught at Chuck E. Cheese's; Racial Slurs at McDonald's

A man in a wheelchair just trying to shop at a Sarasota Walgreens overnight Tuesday was punched and robbed outside the store by a couple who are now being sought by the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office. A man and a woman approached the 45-year-old victim as he came out of store just after midnight Tuesday and attempted to buy his prescriptions, but he had only purchased over-the-counter allergy medicine, according to the sheriff's office. When the victim attempted to get into his car, the male suspect tried to grab the man’s satchel from around his neck, authorities said. When he couldn’t pull the satchel away, the suspect hit the victim multiple times in the face before fleeing. The suspects, seen in surveillance footage, are still wanted…

OMG PD: Naked Man in Dunkin' Donuts, Prisoner Escapes, High School Fireworks

Officials are searching for an inmate who escaped from the Tarpon Springs Work Release Center last Friday. Anthony Pruitt, 22, was last seen at the Brady Road facility around 8:30 p.m., The Tampa Bay Times reports, citing the Tarpon Springs Police Department. A search that included police dogs and a helicopter reportedly turned up empty. According to reports, Pruitt has been convicted of cocaine and marijuana possession, grand theft and burglary. A getaway vehicle wasn’t necessary for one Tampa thief. According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, the man swiped a ride from the University Bicycle Center, 1220 Fletcher Ave. E., Temple Terrace, around 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 13.
