Here’s a look at what stores are open on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day in the Westchase area: Publix All Publix locations in Florida open at regular hours on New Year’s Eve and close at 9 p.m. Publix locations in the Tampa Bay area open at their regular times on New Year’s Day, but some might close at 7 p.m., according to the grocery chain’s website. Winn-Dixie All Winn-Dixie locations in the Tampa Bay area will operate using normal hours on both New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, according to a customer service representative at the Sheldon Road location.
