Thieves hit three cars at Ed Radice Park during Keystone Little League tryouts. Hillsborough Sheriff deputies are investigating the crime. Each year Tijuana Flats honors employees who go above and beyond. This year a special employee from the Westchae area was awarded. The Tampa Bay Skating Academy was hit by car thieves this week as well. Pinellas County Sheriff deputies are investigating the case. Sweetbay Supermarket announced this week they would be closing several stores, one of which is located in the Westchase area. The Upper Tampa Bay Library Expansion has created changes to drop-off and parking for patrons.

1. Coach Kelley Allen was a well liked swim coach in Westchase. News of his murder shook the community. To honor his memory the Westchase Community Association is holding a candlelight vigil on Sunday, Nov. 11. at Glencliff Park. 2. Blend Lounge is one of Westchase's most popular bars. The go-to for night life and specialty cocktails recently introduced a Pumpkin Pie Martini and new menu. 3. An armed robber has been hitting several pizza places in the Tampa Bay area. Coach Kelley Allen spent many years contributing to the lives of Westchase swimmers. It was with sadness to report that he was was murdered on Oct. 27 when his girlfriend's son shot Kelley and his own mother. Mitt Romney stopped in Tampa earlier this week and outlined his 5-point plan to stimulate the economy. Westchasers showed up for the speech that took place near the Tampa Airport. Those who frequent the Northwest Hillsborough YMCA were surprised with the news that two men had been shot near the popular location.
