The food truck festival will benefit the American Cancer Society.
If you love food trucks and helping out a good cause, Westchase Elementary School is where you'll want to be on April 19. The school welcomes the community to enjoy 10 food trucks with a wide variety of food to chose from. So far, the list is: Funds raised from the rally will benefit the American Cancer Society and Relay for Life Westchase, which is scheduled for 6p.m. on May 10 at Davidsen Middle School, 10501 Montague St. in Westchase. Mary Bryant's annual fall festival is scheduled for Sept. 28. Tickets are available now.
Nothing indicates the season is changing like Mary Bryant Elementary School's Fall Festival. Scheduled for Friday, Sept. 28 from 5 to 8:30 p.m. the fall festival is a colorful carnival style event with food, games and activity booths. The festival has been going on for at least seven years. All proceeds raised go directly to teachers for their classrooms. In previous years, as many as 1,500 people have attended the festival. Usually $200 per teacher is raised. "It gives our teachers direct access to funds," said Courtney Peterson, Bryant PTA President. "We try to make it festive and decorate and be colorful it gives it a fair atmosphere." What you need to know about the upcoming school week.
Jump Rope For Heart is taking place this week at Deer Park Elementary and Westchase Elementary during your child's PE class. Deer Park parents are welcome to come and jump with their child.
