The mall is playing host to a carnival, complete with rides, through April 7.
Westchase families looking for a little carnival fun need only pay a visit to Westfield Citrus Park mall over the next few days to get their fill of popcorn, cotton candy and rides – lots of rides. The carnival is in town through April 7 and has set up shop near Sears in the Macy’s parking lot. Ride tickets are $1.25 each or 18 for $20. All-day armbands are $20 per person each day, according to the Westfield Citrus Park Facebook page. Rides on the midway include the Zipper, bumper cars, a tilt-a-whirl and swings. There’s even a Ferris wheel and lots of rides for younger child. The mall is hosting Fit4Mom classes each morning from 9 to 10 a.m., starting March 29.
Between diaper changes, feedings and sleepless nights caring for a fussy baby, exercising is often the last thing on a new mom's mind. However, Fit4Mom, the country's largest fitness program for moms, is making it easy for local women to stay fit while juggling the care of children by offering daily classes at Westfield Citrus Park mall. A couple is accused of stealing a chair from inside Westfield Citrus Park mall.
Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a little help from Westchase area residents to a couple they say stole an $1,800 lounge chair from Westfield Citrus Park. The incident unfolded last night, Jan. 7, after the 8021 Citrus Park Town Center Drive mall had closed down for the evening. The couple, deputies say, remained inside after the doors were locked. Around 9:55 p.m., the two suspects grabbed a chair from the concourse area and carried it through the emergency exit and into the parking lot. The female suspect is described as being between 17 and 20 years of age. She is about 5 feet, 4 inches to 5 feet, 6 inches in height and has long dark hair and weighs approximately 130 pounds. Vote for your favorite tree and win money for a deserving charity
There's an alphabet tree. One decorated with big purple and gold bows. And another with little lions. The Festival of Trees hit Westfield Citrus Park this week adding a big dose of holiday cheer to the mall. Local community partners decorated the 12 unique trees to put on display at the mall. In addition to providing nice scenery at the mall, the trees are also raising money for charities. Shoppers are asked to vote for their favorite tree. The charity's tree with the most votes will receive a $1,500 donation. This is the first year the mall has hosted the fundraiser, said Taylor Clifton, Westfield Citrus Park marketing manager. Looking for some Halloween fun? Westfield Citrus Park is the place to go. The mall has two days of fun planned. On Saturday, Oct. 27 kids can take part in the mall's Halloween costume contest. The festivities continue on Oct. 31 when there will be trick-or-treating for kids 12 and under throughout the mall. "Costume contests, free crafts, balloon twisting, face painting and more," will be available to mall goers, said Taylor Clifton, Westfield Citrus Park marketing manager. The first ever Dress For Success Power Walk event will take place Saturday at Westfield Citrus Park Mall.
This Saturday morning two great things will combine for a great cause: exercise and shopping. The first annual Power Walk for Dress for Success will take place at Westfield Citrus Park Mall (8021 Citrus Park Town Center) starting at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15. The 5K (3.1 mile) walk will take place inside the mall. Proceeds will be donated to Dress For Success Tampa Bay. About 75 walkers are expected. Registrations are still being accepted for the walk.
