Memorial Fund Launched; Accident Victim Left Behind Infant

Family and friends are rallying behind the young son of a woman who died after a Veterans Expressway accident.

The community is rallying around the family of a 28-year-old woman who died after an accident on the Veterans Expressway last week.

The woman, Brittney Lynn Fulford of Tampa, was driving northbound on the Expressway, about a half-mile south of Waters Avenue, around 10:50 a.m. on Aug. 2 when she lost control of her Toyota 4 Runner. She died later that night at St. Joseph's Hospital.

She left behind a 1-year-old son.

Since the accident, her family has launched an online fundraising campaign to help the family. So far, the Brittney Lynn Fulford Memorial Fund has generated $10,455 in donations as of Thursday morning.

To give, simply pull up the website and select "Donate."

Brittney's funeral will be held Sunday, Aug. 11 at 3 p.m. at Grace Summit Church (formerly Living Way Church) 5295 Highway 155 N. in Stockbridge, Ga.
