The Swirls Stop Here: Pinkberry Closing Tampa Locations

Pinkberry has two locations in Tampa, including one near Westchase.

Pinkberry, the frozen yogurt shop known as much for it's swirly goodness as it's celebrity following, is closing its doors in Tampa.

The chain has two locations in Tampa Bay: 7002 Gunn Highway in Citrus Park and 173 Westshore Plaza.

While Pinkberry has not made an official statement about the stores closing, an employee at the Pinkberry Citrus Park location confirmed that the store would be closing on Sunday, June 30. The Westshore location will be closing a week later.

On Twitter, @PinkberryTampaBay responded to more than one inquiry about the stores closing by tweeting  "We regret to inform you, but we had to make a tough business decision. Thank you for your loyalty & support!"

Pinkberry was founded in 2005 with its flagship shop opening in West Hollywood. Pinkberry now has over 100 locations all over the world, including Kuwait, Russia, Turkey and Peru.

Pinkberry came to Tampa Bay in 2010 when the Westshore location opened. Westchase Patch wrote about the Pinkberry Citrus Park location opening back in 2011.
